Question by Neil B: How many generations are we away from eating all our meals in restaurants?
I’m 52 and every meal I ate for the first 18 years of my life was cooked by my mama. There was only one restaurant in my small town. I still live in that same small town and there are at least 50 restaurants in the area. My wife never cooks. How long will it be before we don’t even have a kitchen in our houses?

Question by Jackie: Where do restaurants get fresh fruit cups from?
There are breakfast/lunch restaurants that offer fresh fruit cups. Do they actually cut the fruit up themselves? Or do they get some type of mix that they divide into their own cups? Or is there a distributor that sells pre-made fresh fruit cups. I’m not talking about the Dole fruit cups that have the syrup stuff in them…. I’m looking for fresh fruit.

The better restaurants cut and make their own fresh.

Question by Juniorrr: How long do ketchup packets last from fast food restaurants?
How long do ketchup packets last from fast food restaurants? Do they have an experation date?

Best answer:

Answer by Jonah
They will last many years. Ketchup is non-perishable and since it was sterile when put into that sealed container – nothing can get in to contaminate it.

It would take many years for it to start to taste off – since most of the flavor is just vinegar and salt.

No – they do not have an expiration date.

I thought this site had the most recipes, but when I typed in Restaurant Recipes in my search bar, there were pages of Restaurant Recipes listed, but you might want to start with this one. Hope this is what you’re looking for today, Good Luck!

Water is free at restaurants. Just ask for water in a glass, not bottled.

Question by Bennett Layman: What was the movie where there was a scene of a woman labeling spoons she had taken from different restaurants?
There was a movie where at some point (I think it was in the opening scene, but I’m not sure), where the woman is setting out and labeling spoons that she has taken from various restaurants and locations. We’ve been trying to figure it out for a very long time now, so it’s time to open it up to the internet.

I’m pretty sure it’s a romantic comedy, if that helps.

Question by Just Ask :-) : Why does the pancake syrup at walmart taste so much different from the ones at restaurants?
So I get my pancake syrup from walmart and sometimes krogers. I usually get Aunt Jemima’s orignal syrup and it tastes nothing like the syrup at IHOP, Mcdonalds, Denny’s, and etc. Why is that? I have tried other syrup brands at the grocery stores too and they all taste way different from the ones that restaurants have. Do restaurants use original maple syrup is that the reason why the store bought tastes different? I really want a good tasting syrup!

Best answer:

Answer by nabdullah2001
most pancake syrup is nothing but high fructose corn syrup especially the ones you get from wal mart. Most places like IHOP and restaurants use pure maple syrup since customers want the real stuff not something that consists of mostly processed sugar.
