Chains, most are across the county like LA so try a non-chaim restaurant like NY Pizza and Pasta OR LBS are Red Rock Resorts
And for a great meal you cannot beat most buffets

Waynesville is home to some of the finest and friendliest and best cooks in the U.S. The scenery and the mountains are lovely.
Some places to try are:
O’Malleys On Main Street
Hearthside Family Steakhouse

Sophia’s Place has ultra fresh food. Monte Carlo Liquors and Steak House is right on Route 66 and has a GREAT steak!

My husband is turning 30 in a few months and I thought I’d take him to Vegas, but also have his friends and family meet us there to surprise him at dinner. So, I need suggestions for a really cool but affordable restaurant that everyone would enjoy. By affordable, I’m thinking an entree wouldn’t be more than about $ 20. I’ve gotten a lot of suggestions on lasvegas.com for restaurants in this price range, but the food/ambiance isn’t rated. Any ideas for restaurants to make it a really nice surprise birthday dinner?

My husband & I always enjoyed a little place, just off “the strip”, called Ellis Island. If you like bbq they r the best. They also have a micro brewery. The food is absolutly the best!!
Last time we were there, 1/2 rack ribs 1/2 chix, corncob,bake beans and salad was under $ 20, inc tip. not fancy, but good atmosphere. Eat there, enjoy the food and drink, would’nt gamble there too much. We lived in Vegas 4 9 yrs,and this was 1 of our favorite places.

If you’re in downtown Boston, I would head to the North End (Boston’s Little Italy) for Italian food, China Town for authentic Chinese and Asian cuisine, and if you’re looking for a great burrito I can’t recommend Anna’s Taqueria strongly enough.
In the North End I like Giacomo’s, and in China Town I would recommend Chau Chow City on Sunday for dim sum brunch.

Because the government has enough to do without wasting their time on things like fast food. If people want to eat obviously unhealthy food, that is their choice.

Hippy/vegetarian/Midsommer night’s dream – you could call it ‘The Garden of Eating’ (a twist on the garden of eden).
Morrocan/middle eastern – belly dancers on weekends.
Hot pot – like shabu shabu where you cook your own meat/vegies in the boiling soup on your table (you’re a restauranteur, I’m sure you know what shabu shabu is).
