Question by RJ: How do fast food restaurants clean their food trays?
You see, I’m doing a science project. It’s about the amount of bacteria food trays have and I need to know how and with what they’re cleaned. The restaurants I’m researching are Panera, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Chipotle. I would totally appreciate if someone could help me by giving me information on this. Thanks in advance.

The food trays are soaked in a hot mixture of water and a special kind of dish washing soap. Rinsed, and placed in a sanitizer for at least 20/30 seconds to make sure they are sterile. Air dried and put away.
hope that helps a tad.

Question by edwincruzbebo: why does the new walmart supercenters have coke at their restaurants not pepsi?
even though they are mostly blue white orange and yellow, every time they built new buildings like this design they always have coke at their restaurants not pepsi. pepsi is blue and yellow. coke is not blue. even the logo is blue and white and yellow. it even does not match that new building design with coke. they supposed to have pepsi. why they never have pepsi in their fountain drinks selection even though inside is blue and yellow?

Best answer:

Answer by ronald.glass@sbcglobal.net
It has nothing to do with colors. They cut a deal with coke and pepsi has been excluded as part of the agreement.

I am on a very low sodium diet, and I can find many restaurants that offer low fat choices on their menus, but can’t find any restaurants that offer low sodium choices.
Any suggestions?
I’m not necessarily concerned with low fat choices, but have to have low sodium meals.

McDonalds or Burger King. Don’t go on a diet, sometimes fat chicks can be attractive.

Question by Irish: What restaurants in MASS offer real Kraft Chez Whiz on their menu?
I understand that some places offer it or something similar to it. I want know to what restaurants in the state of Massachusetts have it.

hopefully none… that would be pretty stupid because you can just buy it at the super market (even though that stuff is like poison) and even if they did have it at a restaurant…that makes the establishment look very tacky

Question by globalbizbuilder: If I help restaurants to significantly increase their lunch sales, what % of the price discount I can get?
If I start up a business to increase the mid-size restaurants lunch sales, what % of discount on the menu price I should ask and likely be accepted by the restaurants? I will need to pay for the advertisement / marketing expenses so I’d like to get a cut on their pricing to cover my expenses. Thank you in advance for the answer!

Best answer:

Answer by Happy New Year Yall
Unless they asked you to & make a deal with you beforehand, they may use your idea & you not get any discount or anything. I’ve heard it done before. Get it down in writing. Dont be shy about asking, they won’t. Good luck.

Question by jyruns262: Do restaurants have to tell you their ingredients if you ask?
I was eating in a little restaurant when a lady demanded that the employees tell her what the ingredients were in an item she ordered. They informed her they didn’t know because it was a “trade secret” and the parent company wouldn’t even tell them. They gave her the corporate number, but she claimed “it’s the law!” (this is in California) that if and when she asks they have to tell her. Is this true? Having worked in restaurants before, I was under the belief that a consumer can ask if a certain ingredient such as an allergen is in an item, but that ingredients do not have to be disclosed.

I think if she asked the corporate office they might have to tell her, but I’m pretty sure that the normal restraunt you walk in does not have to tell you, because some of them do not even know. I work at a restraunt and i know that if someone asks us for our calories and stuff like that we refer them to our website so I’m sure that would be the same for ingrediants
